Goa Carbon Ltd has informed BSE that the State Pollution Control Board, Odisha has decided to keep its closure order on Company's Paradeep Plant located at Vill. Udayabata, Paradeep. Dist. Jagatsinghpur, Orissa in abeyance for a period of 3 months from the date of issue of consent to operate order to be issued by the Regional Office, State Pollution Control Board (SPCB), Paradeep. The decision has been taken by the Board on the basis of the rectification of pollution control measures undertaken, completion of installation of flue gas treatment system and based on the observations made by the Regional Officer during the inspection of the Plant.

The operations at the Plant shall be restarted upon receipt of the letter from the Regional Officer, (SPCB). During the operation of the Plant, the Board shall examine the performance of the various pollution control measures adopted by the Company for further consideration.
