Amber Group to acquire controlling stake in Israel-Based Unitronics (1989) (R"G) Ltd.

Amber Group, through its material subsidiary IL JIN Electronics India Pvt Ltd, has entered into definitive agreements to acquire a controlling stake in Unitronics (1989) (R"G) Ltd., an Israel-based company.

Unitronics is a global provider of industrial automation solutions, offering a wide array of products and services including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), PLCs integrated with HMIs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Servo Drives, SaaS platforms like UniCloud, and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions equipped with built-in business intelligence. Their all-in-one software supports machine and process control across a wide range of industries.

With a strong international footprint, Unitronics generates approximately 55% of its sales from the U.S. and 40% from European markets. Through this strategic partnership, Unitronics aims to leverage IL JIN's broad expertise in electronic manufacturing and its widespread presence across India to enhance operational efficiency, boost innovation, and expand its product footprint in the Indian market.

This acquisition supports Amber Group’s Electronic Division strategy to broaden its presence in the industrial electronics space. The collaboration will enable localized manufacturing through backward integration, improve competitiveness within India, and provide access to global markets, including the U.S. and Europe—especially as demand for Industry 4.0 and real-time data technologies continues to rise.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Jasbir Singh, Executive Chairman and CEO of Amber Group, said,

"This transaction marks a significant step forward for Amber’s Electronics Division by establishing a solid presence in the rapidly growing Industry 4.0 and real-time data technologies segment."

This strategic move extends IL JIN’s portfolio beyond Consumer Durables, Wearables and Hearables, Telecom, Automotive, Energy Meters, and Defence, into industrial electronics with a global reach. The partnership is focused on harnessing the combined strengths of both companies to drive sustainable growth in industrial automation.

Mr. Haim Shani, Joint Chairman of Unitronics, who will remain on the company’s board and collaborate closely with Amber’s leadership, added,

"This partnership with Amber Group is a pivotal moment for Unitronics. United by a shared vision, we aim to harness our collective strengths to scale operations, drive innovation, and create long-term value for our stakeholders. I am fully committed to this next chapter and look forward to working alongside our new partners in this transformative journey."
