Zinc prices advanced by over 1 percent to Rs 313.65 per kilogram in futures trade on Friday, supported by firm trends in global markets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for April delivery gained Rs 3.80, or 1.23 percent, to Rs 313.65 per kg, with a trading volume of 2,165 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise to fresh buying interest among traders, driven by positive overseas cues.
