Tejas Networks achieves milestone with 17,000 router Deliveries for BharatNet Phase III

Tejas Networks has announced a significant milestone, having delivered over 17,000 IP/MPLS routers for BharatNet Phase III. The company’s TJ1400 routers are currently being deployed across 9 states and 5 union territories through its Project Implementation Agency (PIA) partners, with several locations already handling live network traffic.

In total, Tejas Networks is set to supply nearly 60,000 routers for the project, which will cover more than 55,000 Gram Panchayats and around 2,000 blocks nationwide.

The company offers a comprehensive portfolio of next-generation, modular, and compact routers designed for high-capacity IP/MPLS networks. Built on its Software-defined Hardware™ architecture, these indigenously developed solutions aim to deliver a scalable, flexible, and reliable middle-mile network for BharatNet.

Arnob Roy, COO and Executive Director of Tejas Networks, highlighted that BharatNet is a key government initiative focused on digitally empowering rural India through widespread high-speed broadband connectivity. He added that this achievement underscores the company’s technological expertise and its growing position as a global supplier of advanced networking solutions for critical infrastructure.
