Copper futures moved higher on Wednesday, supported by increased demand in the spot market and fresh positions built by traders.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for June delivery advanced Rs 12.95, or 0.92 per cent, to Rs 1,419.90 per kg, with a business turnover of 2,659 lots.
Analysts said the rise in copper prices was mainly driven by higher participation and fresh bets by market players.
