Cottonseed oil cake prices moved higher on Thursday, gaining Rs 8 to Rs 3,560 per quintal in futures trade amid fresh buying by speculators and rising demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake contracts for June delivery advanced Rs 8, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 3,560 per quintal with an open interest of 50,750 lots.

Market participants said expanding positions by traders, driven by increased demand for cattle feed, supported the rise in cottonseed oil cake prices.
