Reserve Bank of India has invited public comments on the draft “Reserve Bank of India (Capital Adequacy) Amendment Directions, 2026” aimed at aligning disclosure norms more closely with Basel Pillar 3 requirements.

The central bank has released the following draft amendment directions related to Pillar 3 disclosure requirements:

Reserve Bank of India (Commercial Banks – Prudential Norms on Capital Adequacy) Seventh Amendment Directions, 2026

Reserve Bank of India (Small Finance Banks – Prudential Norms on Capital Adequacy) Fifth Amendment Directions, 2026

The RBI has invited comments and feedback on the draft directions until June 2, 2026. Stakeholders can submit their responses through the ‘Connect2Regulate’ section available on the RBI’s official website or send them directly to the Chief General Manager, Balance Sheet Group, Department of Regulation, Central Office, Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai.
