Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Dr. Virendra Kumar has launched the PM-AJAY Portal and AJAY Mobile App to strengthen and digitize the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jaati Abhyuday Yojna (PM-AJAY) scheme.

The digital platform has been introduced to shift from paper-based processes to a fully integrated real-time digital workflow for better monitoring, transparency and service delivery of Scheduled Caste welfare schemes. The launch took place in the presence of Minister of State B.L. Verma, Social Justice Secretary Sudhansh Pant and senior government officials, while representatives from states and Union Territories joined virtually.

The PM-AJAY Mobile App has been designed as a unified digital platform for field-level surveys, village development planning, monitoring and reporting. It aims to improve last-mile implementation, real-time tracking and beneficiary access to services related to skilling, employment and education initiatives.

The app integrates key PM-AJAY components, including the Adarsh Gram initiative, Grants-in-Aid for skilling and employment, and hostel-related schemes. Features such as geo-tagging, dashboard reporting, mobile inspections, photo uploads, notifications and role-based access are expected to improve coordination and reduce dependence on desktop-based operations.

Meanwhile, the PM-AJAY Portal will function as a central monitoring and fund management platform, enabling milestone-based fund flow tracking and monitoring of village development progress through socio-economic indicators across multiple sectors.

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Virendra Kumar described the initiative as a major step towards transparent, efficient and technology-driven delivery of welfare services for Scheduled Caste communities.
