Copper futures advanced on Friday, with the July contract gaining Rs 3.05, or 0.24%, to Rs 1,295.85 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).

The rise was supported by firm demand in the spot market, while analysts attributed the gains to fresh buying and increased positions by market participants.
