Aluminium futures edged lower by 30 paise, or 0.09%, to Rs 345.30 per kg on Monday, tracking a weak trend in the spot market and subdued demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the September delivery contract traded at Rs 345.30 per kg, with 272 lots changing hands.

Analysts said reduced buying interest from consuming industries and position trimming by market participants weighed on aluminium prices in futures trade.
