CG Power and Industrial Solutions on Friday announced the rollout of the first power transformer from its new greenfield facility in Sehore, Madhya Pradesh, marking the commencement of production.

Spread across 50 acres, the facility is India’s largest single-location power transformer manufacturing unit, according to the company’s exchange filing. It has the capacity to manufacture 35 power transformers per month, covering the 220 kV to 1,200 kV class.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who attended the event as the chief guest, said the facility is expected to generate over 2,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities in Sehore.
