Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty traded lower in afternoon trade on Tuesday, weighed down by continued weakness in HDFC Bank and IT stocks.

At 14:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 77375.04 down by -333.48 points or by -0.43 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24167.95 down by -70.55 points or by -0.29 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 77753.18 and intraday low of 77337.33 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24262.2 and intraday low of 24135.65

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 5316.40,+1.69%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1893.25,+1.68%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12055.00,+1.32%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1235.65,+1.20%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 385.45,+0.89%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 761.10,-2.13%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1070.10,-1.54%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1304.00,-1.45%), State Bank of India (Rs. 1047.00,-1.22%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2222.80,-1.21%), among others.
