Gold prices in the national capital rose by Rs 80 to reach Rs 60,430 per 10 grams on Tuesday, supported by an increase in precious metal prices in the global market. HDFC Securities reported that in the previous trading session, gold had settled at Rs 60,350 per 10 grams. Silver also witnessed a significant surge, jumping Rs 400 to reach Rs 77,100 per kilogramme.
In the Delhi markets, spot gold prices were trading at Rs 60,430 per 10 grams, reflecting an increase of Rs 80 per 10 grams compared to the previous close, as stated by Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst - Commodities at HDFC Securities.
In the international market, both gold and silver prices showed gains, with gold trading at USD 1,957 per ounce and silver at USD 24.52 per ounce.
These gains in the precious metals were driven by a robust risk appetite among investors and positive sentiment in other bullish markets, particularly in the industrial commodities sector, which experienced notable surges.
