ULIP surpasses 100 cr API Transactions, Revolutionizing India’s Logistics Landscape

The Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) has achieved a remarkable milestone, recording over 100 crore API transactions. This milestone underscores ULIP’s transformative role in building a seamless, technology-driven logistics ecosystem, supporting the Make in India initiative and propelling the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, lauded the achievement, emphasizing the collaborative efforts of logistics stakeholders, government departments, and users leveraging API integrations. He highlighted that ULIP’s success aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of a robust logistics infrastructure that enhances the Ease of Doing Business and positions India as a global trade and manufacturing leader.

By bridging data gaps, ULIP facilitates automation, real-time cargo tracking, and streamlined regulatory compliance, benefiting businesses across sectors. Currently processing around 1 crore API transactions weekly, the platform fosters inclusivity by providing equal access to logistics data for MSMEs, start-ups, and large enterprises. This democratization of information is dismantling monopolistic practices and promoting competition.

Prominent manufacturers like Prism Johnson, Asian Paints, and Tata Steel are leveraging ULIP’s APIs for efficient transporter verification, process automation, and supply chain optimization. Additionally, the platform’s multi-modal APIs for road, rail, ocean, and air logistics offer real-time shipment ETAs, enabling just-in-time inventory management and reducing operational costs.

Beyond efficiency, ULIP supports sustainability goals by assisting companies such as Century Plywoods and TCIL in selecting eco-friendly transport options and cutting carbon emissions. Logistics service providers like Cuttack Carriers, Road Pilot, and Intugine are further streamlining operations through digital documentation, automated gate processes, and faster freight movement, minimizing delays and congestion.

Government departments are also harnessing ULIP’s comprehensive data access for informed decision-making, contributing to more efficient logistics management across the country.

Launched on September 17, 2022, by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi under the National Logistics Policy (NLP), ULIP integrates 43 systems from 11 ministries through 129 APIs, covering over 1,800 data fields. With more than 1,300 registered companies, 350+ agreements signed, and its recent achievement of 100 crore API transactions, ULIP continues to drive operational excellence and innovation in India’s logistics sector.

The platform is not only modernizing the movement of goods but also revolutionizing business operations and bolstering India's progress toward becoming a self-reliant, digitally connected global powerhouse.
