Aluminium prices climbed 45 paise to Rs 262.10 per kilogram in the futures market on Thursday, driven by fresh positions from speculators amid a positive spot market trend.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, April delivery aluminium contracts rose 0.17% to Rs 262.10 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,375 lots.

Analysts attributed the price increase to renewed demand from consuming industries.
