Zinc prices rose by 95 paise to Rs 251.90 per kilogram in futures trading on Thursday, driven by improved demand in the physical market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for July delivery were up 95 paise or 0.38% at Rs 251.90 per kg, with a trading volume of 1,353 lots.
According to analysts, the uptick in prices was largely due to increased buying activity by traders, spurred by a rebound in demand from key consuming industries.
