Zinc prices slipped by 0.18% to Rs 249.70 per kilogram in futures trading on Friday, as traders pared down their positions following subdued demand signals from the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, July zinc contracts declined by 45 paise to Rs 249.70 per kg, with 1,535 lots traded.

According to analysts, the decline was largely driven by reduced buying interest from key consuming industries in the physical market, prompting participants to trim their exposure.
