Union Health Minister Shri J P Nadda virtually inaugurated the first edition of the "Best Practices Conclave" organized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at AIIMS Nagpur. The two-day event aims to highlight exemplary practices from AIIMS institutions nationwide, focusing on patient-centric care, digital innovation, academic excellence, and operational efficiency.
Institutes participating include AIIMS Bhopal, Jammu, Bilaspur, Jodhpur, Deoghar, Patna, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Raipur, and Nagpur, along with the PMSSY division and Ministry of Defence.
In his address, Shri Nadda emphasized the importance of AIIMS as hubs of advanced clinical care, research, and education, and urged wider adoption of best practices across all AIIMS. He lauded AIIMS Nagpur for taking the lead in organizing the inaugural conclave.
The Minister also noted the growing contributions of new AIIMS to scientific research, digital learning, and patient care innovations such as Jan Aushadhi Kendras and digital registration. He stressed that these advancements show how efficiency and compassion can go hand in hand in public healthcare.
Health Secretary Ms. Punya Salila Srivastava emphasized collaboration, leadership, and learning from institutional successes to advance the government’s goal of universal healthcare and medical education excellence. Senior officials from the Ministry, Defence Medical Services, and AIIMS leadership also participated in the event.
