VIP Clothing Ltd., a leading Indian innerwear and athleisure brand, has announced the expansion of its premium men’s innerwear line, Frenchie X, into Kerala. The launch spans over 40 retail outlets across key cities including Kochi, Kozhikode, and Thiruvananthapuram, along with select tier-II towns. This move takes the brand’s national retail footprint to over 140 stores.
Chairman and Managing Director, Mr. Sunil J. Pathare, noted that Kerala's discerning consumer base makes it a strategic market. “With Frenchie X, we’re offering climate-responsive innovation and comfort that meets regional lifestyle needs,” he said. The product range includes briefs, trunks, and vests made from micromodal and cotton-elastane blends with moisture-wicking technology.
The Kerala expansion is part of VIP Clothing’s dual-channel growth approach—scaling offline retail while deepening online reach. Following partnerships with Swiggy Instamart and Zepto earlier this year, the brand will now offer one-hour delivery of select Frenchie X products in major Kerala pincodes, complementing its existing presence on traditional e-commerce platforms.
The announcement follows a robust FY25 for VIP Clothing, with a 29.3% year-on-year revenue growth to ?2,368.9 million. The company also turned profitable, reporting a PAT of ?54.6 million compared to a ?126.5 million loss in FY24. Q4 FY25 revenue doubled year-on-year to ?649.1 million, with EBITDA margins improving to 8.9% from -24.2% in the previous year.
Pathare highlighted FY25 as a “year of transformation,” driven by strategic clarity and strong consumer trust. Looking ahead, VIP Clothing plans to expand into women’s and teen innerwear, enhance manufacturing capabilities, and further penetrate the athleisure market. With a distribution network of over 425 distributors and 39,000+ retailers, the company is well-positioned for continued growth in FY26.
