Gross GST collections surged to a record high of Rs 22.08 lakh crore in the financial year 2024-25, doubling from Rs 11.37 lakh crore in FY21, according to government data released on Monday.

The collections marked the highest-ever annual tally, reflecting a 9.4% increase over the previous fiscal.

The average monthly GST collection rose to Rs 1.84 lakh crore in FY25, compared to Rs 1.68 lakh crore in FY24 and Rs 1.51 lakh crore in FY22.
