EaseMyTrip inks MoU with Timbuckdo to make student travel more affordable and aspirational

EaseMyTrip, one of India’s largest and fastest-growing online travel platforms, has entered into an exclusive strategic partnership with Timbuckdo, a leading student-focused social commerce platform. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to make travel more accessible, affordable, and aspirational for students across India by offering specially curated discounts on flights, buses, hotels, and experiences.

This partnership brings together EaseMyTrip’s robust travel infrastructure and Timbuckdo’s strong presence within India’s student community to deliver unprecedented travel deals tailored for the Gen Z audience. Sanchit Chopra, Chief Marketing Officer at EaseMyTrip, highlighted the company’s mission to democratize travel and emphasized that the collaboration with Timbuckdo is designed to unlock significant value for the student demographic—a digitally savvy and highly aspirational segment eager to explore the world.

With Gen Z and Gen Alpha now influencing over 93% of family travel decisions, India’s youth is redefining the travel landscape with a growing preference for experience-driven, spontaneous, and budget-friendly travel. Mythri Kumar, Co-founder and CEO of Timbuckdo, described the partnership as a defining moment for the platform, stating that Gen Z is no longer postponing travel and is actively seeking value-oriented experiences. The collaboration aims to remove cost as a barrier and transform travel into a practical and inspiring pursuit for students nationwide.

As part of the initiative, EaseMyTrip will power Timbuckdo’s student discount marketplace, enabling seamless booking for travel products and experiences. Timbuckdo is targeting over one million student bookings in the next 12 months. With India’s student travel market expected to surpass USD 10 billion by 2027, this collaboration positions EaseMyTrip and Timbuckdo as key players in shaping the future of Gen Z mobility and aspiration.
