The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) announced on Tuesday that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with electric vehicle manufacturer Ather Energy to strengthen the EV manufacturing ecosystem and create new opportunities for startups in the sector.

The partnership aims to support deep-tech startups by offering strategic mentorship and infrastructure assistance, particularly within the electric vehicle value chain. The MoU is part of a broader effort to accelerate innovation and growth in India’s EV and manufacturing landscape.
