AXISCADES Technologies Limited, a leading chip-to-product company with a strong presence in Defence, Electronics, Semiconductors, and Artificial Intelligence (ESAI) applications, has secured several high-value orders through its Defence subsidiaries. These orders span across critical airborne, naval, and radar-based platforms from India's premier Defence laboratories. The new wins reinforce AXISCADES’s commitment to indigenous development and solidify its role as a key partner in India’s Defence self-reliance journey.
The contracts involve the development and supply of advanced sub-systems for highly sophisticated indigenous platforms being developed by major Defence agencies such as DRDO and Defence Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). With this, AXISCADES further strengthens its participation in crucial national defence initiatives, including the modernization of fighter aircraft, naval systems, and long-range radar surveillance capabilities.
Among the key highlights is AXISCADES’s role in the VIRUPAKSHA AESA Radar Program for the Su-30 MKI upgrade, where the company will design and supply essential radar components such as the Exciter Unit, Receiver Unit, and Antenna Beam Control Motherboard. These are critical to the generation, reception, and processing of radar signals, replacing the current Russian-made radar systems on the aircraft.
The company is also involved in the supply of advanced Transmit-Receive (TR) modules for S-Band surveillance radars, enhancing long-range target detection and tracking. Additionally, AXISCADES is contributing to the development of indigenous Digital Beam Forming (DBF) units for the Long-Range Battle Management Radar (LRBMR), known as KUSHA. This radar system, with a detection range of over 500 km, supports multi-target engagement and enhances battlefield awareness.
Further strengthening its undersea warfare capabilities, AXISCADES is developing the Homing Receiver for the Electric Heavy Weight Torpedo (EHWT), a next-generation anti-submarine warfare system. It is also supplying sonar sub-systems for submarines at production scale, reinforcing its expanding footprint in naval electronics.
The combined value of these programs is approximately Rs 600 crore, to be executed over the next three to five years. The projects will generate a consistent revenue stream across various phases, including development, prototyping, and full-scale production.
Commenting on the development, C. Manikandan, Chief Technology Officer of AXISCADES, stated, “Our involvement in these critical programs reflects our core expertise in high-performance radar, sonar, and signal processing electronics. We take pride in contributing to indigenous platforms that will shape the future of India’s Defence preparedness. These wins also underscore our deep integration with India’s leading Defence research and production ecosystem.”
