India's gross GST collection rose 7.5% year-on-year to Rs 1.96 lakh crore in July 2025, driven by higher domestic revenue.

In comparison, collections stood at Rs 1.82 lakh crore in July 2024, while the previous month (June 2025) recorded Rs 1.84 lakh crore.

Domestic GST revenue saw a 6.7% rise to Rs 1.43 lakh crore, and tax collection from imports increased 9.5% to Rs 52,712 crore. Additionally, GST refunds surged 67% during the month.
