Copper prices gained 0.51% to Rs 905 per kilogram in futures trade on Monday, supported by strong demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), September delivery contracts advanced Rs 4.55 to Rs 905 per kg, with a business volume of 6,920 lots.

Analysts said fresh buying by participants led to the uptick in copper futures.
