Aluminium prices fell by 25 paise to Rs 254.95 per kg in futures trade on Monday as traders cut down positions amid a sluggish trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium for September delivery declined 0.1% to Rs 254.95 per kg in 4,125 lots.

Analysts attributed the decline to reduced demand from consuming industries, which prompted participants to trim their holdings.
