Gold prices advanced Rs 466 to Rs 1,05,251 per 10 grams in futures trade on Tuesday, supported by strong demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, October contracts of the precious metal were up 0.44% at Rs 1,05,251 per 10 grams, with a turnover of 17,104 lots.

However, in global markets, Comex gold futures for December delivery slipped 0.63% to USD 3,498.14 per ounce in New York.
