Zinc prices climbed Rs 1.80 to Rs 275.85 per kilogram in futures trade on Tuesday, supported by improved demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, September delivery contracts rose 0.66% to Rs 275.85 per kg, with a turnover of 296 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built by participants, driven by rising demand from consuming industries, lifted zinc futures.
