SPML Infra, one of India’s leading infrastructure development companies, has announced a leadership transition designed to accelerate growth, strengthen governance, and prepare the organization for future opportunities in high-potential sectors such as water infrastructure development and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
The transition marks a strategic shift towards next-generation operational leadership while retaining the deep expertise and strong market relationships of the promoters in advisory roles. The move is expected to boost execution, reinforce investor confidence, and position the company for long-term value creation.
As part of this change, Abhinandan Sethi, currently Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed Managing Director for a five-year term. He will lead the company’s overall business strategy, operations, corporate finance, and expansion into emerging infrastructure sectors including BESS. Meanwhile, Subhash Sethi has assumed the role of Non-Executive Chairman and Director, moving from his executive position to focus on high-value legal, contractual, and arbitration strategies. Sushil Sethi will continue as Non-Executive Vice Chairman and Director, providing guidance on business development, client relationships, and market expansion.
This governance-driven shift is designed to strengthen SPML Infra’s water EPC business while accelerating its entry into clean energy, particularly BESS. It also reinforces governance by clearly separating executive responsibilities from advisory roles, creating a leadership framework that balances legacy wisdom with operational agility.
Chairman Subhash Sethi described the transition as a new chapter in the company’s journey, expressing confidence that with Abhinandan’s leadership and the promoters’ continued strategic guidance, SPML Infra is well positioned for sustained growth. Vice Chairman Sushil Sethi said he takes pride in mentoring the leadership team and is eager to see the company scale new heights of success. Newly appointed Managing Director Abhinandan Sethi emphasized his commitment to building on SPML’s legacy in water infrastructure while unlocking opportunities in clean energy. He noted that disciplined execution and innovation will be central to creating long-term stakeholder value and contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
This leadership transition highlights SPML Infra’s commitment to combining strong governance with forward-looking growth. By empowering a new generation of leadership while leveraging the founders’ strategic expertise, the company is laying a solid foundation for sustainable value creation and future resilience.
