Aluminium prices fell Rs 1.15 to Rs 261.65 per kg in futures trade on Monday as traders cut positions amid a soft trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), October delivery contracts slipped Rs 1.15, or 0.44%, to Rs 261.65 per kg with a business turnover of 1,033 lots.

Analysts said easing demand from consuming industries and position trimming by participants weighed on aluminium prices in futures trade.
