Maruti Suzuki reports 7% sales growth in Oct, records highest-ever domestic sales

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd posted a 7% year-on-year rise in total sales for October, delivering 2,20,894 units compared to 2,06,434 units in the same month last year.

The company achieved its highest-ever domestic sales, including commercial vehicles, at 1,80,675 units—an increase of 10.75% over 1,63,130 units recorded in October 2024, according to a regulatory filing.

Domestic passenger vehicle sales rose 10.48% to 1,76,318 units from 1,59,591 units a year ago.

Sales to other OEMs (Toyota Kirloskar) stood at 8,915 units, while exports were reported at 31,304 units.

In segment-wise performance:

Mini cars (Alto, S-Presso) declined to 9,067 units from 10,687 units last year

Compact cars (Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, WagonR) grew to 76,143 units from 65,948 units

Utility vehicles (Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris, XL6) increased to 77,571 units from 70,644 units

Eeco van sales climbed to 13,537 units, up from 11,653 units in October 2024

Maruti Suzuki continues to maintain its lead in the passenger vehicle market, fuelled by strong demand in the compact and SUV categories.
