Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited (BSE: 539607) and US-based Byte Eclipse Technologies Inc. have formed a Joint Venture to develop, manufacture, and commercialize next-generation Edge-AI microprocessor chipsets. The partnership builds on their earlier strategic cooperation agreement and includes a Technology Transfer arrangement backed by proprietary IP from an Israeli R&D partner.
Under the JV, Blue Cloud will design and manufacture the new Edge-AI chip, code-named “EclipseX1”, while Byte Eclipse will drive commercialization across the US and Europe. The chip will focus on high-reliability, low-latency AI applications across industrial automation, automotive telematics and control modules, and EV charging infrastructure.
The EclipseX1 is built on a custom RISC-V SoC architecture with an integrated Neural Processing Unit, delivering 12 TOPS of AI compute at under 10W consumption. It also incorporates advanced security features and supports popular embedded AI frameworks, enabling deployment across smart factories, ADAS systems, and intelligent energy stations.
The JV has an initial five-year term with market exclusivity for Byte Eclipse in defined sectors across the US and Europe. The partnership is projected to generate business opportunities worth USD 65–80 million over the agreement period through chip sales, licensing, and integration services.
Blue Cloud Chairman Janaki Yarlagadda said the collaboration marks a major step forward in the company’s semiconductor and AI hardware ambitions, positioning it among the few Indian firms with end-to-end capabilities spanning AI software, silicon design, and cloud analytics.
