Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd on Friday announced that it has secured a purchase order worth Rs 64 crore from APL Logistics Vascor Automotive for the manufacture and supply of specialised freight wagons.

The order includes rakes of ACT-1 wagons along with BVCM-type brake vans, further strengthening the company’s footprint in the specialised freight rolling stock segment, Texmaco Rail said in a statement.

Commenting on the development, Managing Director Sudipta Mukherjee said the contract highlights the growing demand for customised rail-based logistics solutions focused on enhancing safety and operational efficiency.
