Mitsu Chem Plast Limited has proposed to commence manufacturing operations at a new facility in the MIDC Industrial Area, Boisar, Palghar district, as part of its expansion strategy and long-term growth plans.
The company, which currently operates three manufacturing units at Tarapur and Khalapur with a combined installed capacity of over 29,000 tonnes per annum, said the proposed Boisar facility will add around 900 tonnes per annum to its overall capacity. The expansion will be supported by an investment of approximately Rs 101 lakh towards new machinery, funded entirely through internal accruals.
As of the quarter ended September 2025, Mitsu Chem Plast was operating at an overall capacity utilisation of about 68%, reflecting healthy demand across its product portfolio. The new facility, taken on a leave-and-license basis, is expected to enhance operational flexibility, improve production planning, and support incremental volumes.
Commenting on the development, Chairman Jagdish Dedhia said the expansion would strengthen the company’s ability to meet future demand, improve delivery timelines, and build a scalable manufacturing platform.
