RIR Power Electronics Limited on Monday announced the appointment of N Ramesh Kumar as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 11, 2026.

Ramesh G. Trasi, who has served as the company’s Chief Executive Officer for over 22 years, will transition to the role of Chief Technology Officer, where he will continue to lead RIR Power Electronics’ technology and innovation roadmap.

N. Ramesh Kumar brings over 42 years of experience across sales and marketing, business development, and P&L-led business management, spanning multiple product lines and geographies. Prior to joining RIR Power Electronics, he served as Global Business Head – Industrial Products and Solutions at CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, where he scaled operations, managed complex portfolios, and delivered sustained profitability. He was also a member of CG Power’s Executive Committee. Most recently, he was CEO of Diffusion Engineers Limited, overseeing domestic and international manufacturing plants and regional sales operations.

Commenting on the appointment, Harshad Mehta, Non-Executive Chairman of RIR Power Electronics, said the company is confident that Kumar’s leadership will accelerate innovation, strengthen operational excellence, and support RIR’s growth strategy and global expansion in the power semiconductor industry.
