Copper futures slip on muted domestic demand

Copper futures edged lower on Tuesday, declining Rs 6.40 to Rs 1,271.50 per kilogram, as market participants pared positions amid weak demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for March delivery fell by Rs 6.40, or 0.5%, to Rs 1,271.50 per kg, with a trading volume of 333 lots.

Analysts said the fall in prices was driven by reduced bets from participants, reflecting subdued demand conditions.
