Aluminium futures traded lower on Tuesday, declining Rs 1.20 to Rs 314.55 per kg, as market participants reduced their positions amid a weak trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for March delivery fell by Rs 1.20, or 0.38%, to Rs 314.55 per kg, with a trading volume of 177 lots.
Analysts said prices remained under pressure as participants trimmed bets in response to easing demand from consuming industries.
