Cottonseed oil cake prices climbed by Rs 7 to Rs 3,270 per quintal in futures trade on Wednesday as speculators built fresh positions amid firm demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake contracts for March delivery rose Rs 7, or 0.21 percent, to Rs 3,270 per quintal, with an open interest of 52,930 lots.

Market participants said the expansion of positions by traders, driven by higher demand for cattle feed, primarily supported the uptick in cottonseed oil cake prices.
