Intel Corporation said its net income came at USD 3.5 billion, or USD 0.72 per share. This was up from USD 2.9 billion, or USD 0.59 per share, in last year's second quarter.
The company said revenue for the quarter rose 9.6 per cent to USD 14.8 billion. This was up from USD 13.5 billion last year.
Intel is on track to deliver yet another record year, with the first two quarters both setting new records for revenue, on the heels of their record setting 2016 fiscal year.
